Alright. So, the next few installments are, in general, ready to go, and are going to be lumped together because of their relation to one another.
First, up will be the first and second nights (or, at least what I taped of them) of the 2001 Summit Music Festival from the tranquil mecca of Mariaville, NY. Say, this will be ready to go this weekend.
After that will be the first day of the 2002 Terrapin Station Music Festival from the greatest outdoor venue in all of the midwest, Alpine Valley Music Theater in East Troy, WI. Think, next week for that sucker.
Finally, we’ll finish this triangle of blocks with the rest of the Furthur Festival show from the disappointing World Music Theater in Tinley Park, IL (the moe. and Ratdog portions of this evening have already been posted). This is easily venue provided the biggest letdown for me in any of the the places across this fine country that I’ve had the opportunity to see live music performed in. However, the show was good, but, unfortunately, some of what I have on the DATs is jeopardized by wind. But it’s uncirculated, and the goal of this site is to circulate the uncirculated, so…
Going forward, because some of the bands involved in these day or weekend long productions do not allow their music to be posted on archive.org, I’ll be creating full BitTorrent files for each that will be posted at bt.etree.org, and the individual sets (that are permitted) will be posted on the archive.
Anyway…that’s it for now. Chances are I’ll be sprinkling a few things in here and there between the aforementioned blocks, but we’ll see.
Last but not least, I’m kicking around the idea of trying out the site as a forum for album reviews, and since no one reads this thing anyway, I may as well. So be on the look out for that.
Thanks for reading and downloading, and don’t forget to follow the boiler on twitter and facebook.
And remember…”You used to be able to tell the difference between hipsters and homeless people. Now, it’s between hipsters and retards. I mean, either that guy in the corner in orange safety pants holding a protest sign and wearing a top hat is mentally disabled or he is the coolest fucking guy you will ever know.” – Klosterman.
